ElrondNFTProjects is a small team of professionals launching a collection of NFTs to promote and support the Elrond blockchain. Oni Mask is a collection of 10.000 unique NFTs built on the Elrond Blockchain and is the first collection from the ElrondNFTProjects team.
Understanding the challenge
The ElrondNFTProjects team needed to define their online presence and promote their upcoming NFT collection so they approached me for support in designing and developing a presentation website.
Crafting a solution
I created a presentation website for ElrondNFTProjects using their Oni Mask collection of NFTs as inspiration, and their valuable feedback throughout the process. As a result, I was able to design and develop their brand new website, delivering it just in time for launch.

The strategy
My goal with every client is to create a standout experience and assist in making the best product that meets their desired scope. We analyzed competitors and took inspiration from the style of the soon-to-be launched artwork, resulting in an interface and user experience that effectively answers common questions and promotes their NFT collection.

Starting point
We had an initial call to properly define the scope and timeframe of the project: a presentation website to be delivered within one week.
Research and mockups
We reviewed their existing artwork at the time, and competitors' websites to guide the design of several mockups of the new website.
Development
After the initial feedback and based on updates along the way, I developed a website that effectively promoted their upcoming collection.
Website launch
Once they were happy with the results and provided all the content, I helped them deploy and test their brand new website.
The results
Despite the very short time frame, I managed to design and develop a new website that the ElrondNFTProjects team were proud to launch and use to promote their upcoming Oni Mask NFT collection.

Sport Compass is a remote-working company based in Copenhagen, Denmark that promises to bridge the offline world of bars and the online world of sports fans. The company aims to build an all-in-one platform that facilitates event management for venues and event discovery for fans.
Understanding the challenge
When I first joined Sport Compass, they had started building an online community through social media, as well as an initial version of the user side of their platform.
They had a rough plan for the event management platform aimed at bar owners, but the team was still struggling to understand its clients and bridge the gap between the digital and the physical worlds.
Crafting a solution
I worked for Sport Compass over the course of one year and during that time I directed the design team and collaborated with the developer team to maintain the internal style guide and implement new design patterns.
I also helped the company through user research and client interviews, redesigning their logo for a more modern look, designing a new landing page and crafting the UI for their event management platform to be used by clients.

The strategy
Based on qualitative interviews and survey responses from bar owners, I defined a user flow and used Figma to create an initial design of the bar panel, which allowed our less tech-savvy users to navigate it through intuitive interactions and a clear separation between different sections.
I built an interactive prototype in Figma and organized meetings with two venue owners, taking them through the process described. Through observation, task analysis, and questions gauged the bar owners' opinions of the prototype and used their feedback to implement changes to the user flow and improve the experience.

Research and interviews
By regularly observing and interviewing our target groups, we were able to make continuous improvements to the customer-facing and user-facing sides of the platform.
Design system
I defined the company's design system and helped the developers, marketing department and design interns I mentored adhere to it, delivering a consistent visual experience across all mediums.
Landing page
I worked with the dev team to craft a fresh landing page to help new users understand what we do, sign up, keep track and participate in upcoming events, as well as claim prizes by using our webapp.
Event platform
The bulk of my time at Sport Compass was spent creating and improving the event management platform UI and UX, based on feedback and interviews with the venue owners.

The results
Through our UX improvements on the user site and marketing efforts and giveaways on social media, we ensured that the Sport Compass fan community kept growing.
To promote the platform to pub owners and validate our work, we organized interviews with venue managers from a dozen bars in the Copenhagen area. All but one of them signed letters of intent, proving that the company is on the right tracks.

Luminate Digital was a digital growth agency that provided inbound marketing and growth-driven web design solutions for the professional services sector throughout the UK.
Understanding the challenge
Having only recently established as a company, Luminate Digital needed someone to help with any and all graphical and design-related tasks.
They hired me as a Design Executive in 2017. I spent one and a half years providing these services for them and all of their clients.
Crafting a solution
When I first joined the agency, they were still in a very early stage, so we worked together on buyer personas and marketing strategies to define their initial vision and direction. We would repeat this process periodically to make sure that everyone was on the same page and that we are heading the right way.
I helped guide Luminate Digital through a rebranding process, designing everything from the core visual identity, including color schemes, typography, logo, business cards, to the more complex implementations of this identity, such as their homepage, landing pages, email templates, and even internal documents and presentations.

The strategy
Following the initially established business goals, I set out to revamp the company branding to reflect our new identity. I designed custom templates for all internal and customer-facing documents - default document template, business model canvas, organizational chart, sales presentations, business cards, email templates and more.
Using knowledge gained from the courses, our buyer persona research, and insights from our competitor analysis, I redesigned the website to offer improved user flows and an overall more gratifying and productive user experience.
I designed the other pages with a similar goal in mind - to enhance the value visitors would obtain from them, guiding them through the buyer journey and increasing the likelihood that they would become clients.
Every design I produced was tested against KPIs and analytics. Through continuous improvement and by identifying a crucial business opportunity with the upcoming enforcement of the GDPR, we even produced a landing page for a GDPR pack that achieved a 35% conversion rate.

Strong foundation
I redefined the branding, created a robust design system and worked with everyone else to ensure that our standards were maintained and that we promoted a consistent visual identity.
Bridging the gap
I was regularly crafting designs in close collaboration with other departments, such as email templates & graphic materials & ebooks with marketing, website & landing pages with dev, and presentations with sales.

Throughout my employment, I also produced designs for all our clients' business needs, from sketches to wireframes, to deliverables such as website & landing pages, email templates, printed and promotional materials.
Inbound marketing
I finished several HubSpot courses, obtaining my Inbound Marketing, Growth-Driven Design, Email Marketing, HubSpot Marketing Software and Client Management certifications.

The results
By the time I left the agency in August 2018, it had increased website visits tenfold, achieved Gold HubSpot partner status and established itself as a top marketing authority in the North-West.
Within one year after I left, Luminate went through a successful acquisition process by one of the biggest inbound marketing agencies in the UK - Digital Media Stream.

The Heaton Group is a company that develops luxury living spaces to live, rent and invest in, enabling investors and homeowners in the UK and abroad to find their perfect property in the North-West.
Understanding the challenge
They contacted Luminate Digital looking to improve their marketing efforts in order to attract more leads and grow their business.
They were struggling to generate new visitors, and their website content was tailored towards investors, making it difficult to engage other target groups (buyers and renters).
Crafting a solution
We decided to educate our client on digital marketing best practices, executing user research & competitor analysis, compiling the results into deliverables with actionable advice, and using the findings to revamp The Heaton Group's online presence.

The process we followed was a very thorough one which included our client at every step to ensure feedback is provided swiftly both ways.
The plan was comprised of several phases: user research, building buyer personas, executing competitor analysis, and overhauling their website to guarantee that it is both adequately serving the needs of all their target group visitors, as well as effectively generating the right leads for the company.

Buyer personas
We organized interviews with current clients and compiled the results into documents detailing their priority initiatives, success factors, perceived barriers, decision criteria, and the buyer's journey.
Competitor analysis
We compared The Heaton Group to their three main competitors and measured key marketing metrics related to website ranking, traffic, digital content, social media, keywords, and backlinks.
Website redesign
The preliminary research combined with our inbound marketing expertise enabled me to design a conversion-focused website that offered all the target groups a new and improved online experience.
Deliverables suite
Throughout this collaborative effort, The Heaton Group received useful deliverables from us, including an optimized website, blog, email templates, brand guidelines, buyer persona & competitor and client analysis documents.

The results
Thanks to my website redesign with new conversion paths for users, Heaton Group were able to more than double the number of contacts generated organically over 6 months.
As a result of our research efforts and collaboration, they gained a much better understanding of their customers. Using this knew knowledge to craft a guiding content strategy helped the company triple their blog views, which eventually led to an all time high of 78% leads generated by marketing.

Forethought Estate Planning was a company that promised stress-free estate planning by understanding their customers' problems and offering solutions tailored to their needs.
Understanding the challenge
Forethought Estate Planning approached Luminate Digital looking for ways to enhance their marketing efforts and drive more conversions. They required methods and assets to help them engage more users and capture their data.
Crafting a solution
Our first step with Forethough Estate Planning was a digital consultation and website assessment to identify room for improvement.
Their website was in excellent shape, with consistent branding that consolidated their authority and copy that clearly described the services they offered. However, they needed to grow traffic and then capture the users' data in order to drive them further down the conversion funnel.

We took them through digital marketing best practices and suggested the implementation of landing pages and running email campaigns.
I designed and we delivered all the tools necessary to implement the novel methods that they learned — landing page and email templates.

We suggested smart forms as a tool to gradually learn more about their prospects. These forms use cookies to remember users and ask different questions whenever they interact with the website.
Email templates
I designed three email templates for use in their marketing campaigns — a general purpose one, a newsletter-type for blog updates, and a third template focused on a single piece of content.

The results
Forethought Estate Planning managed to attract more users to their web page, nurture their leads more effectively, while also using data capture to better understand their needs, thus facilitating and increasing the overall number of sales.

During the first semester of my Digital Concept Development program, I formed a group with two of my classmates and one student from the University of Applied Sciences Hague. We engaged in an assignment that required us to drive conversion rates and increase average order value for Norway-based company Helly Hansen.

Helly Hansen is a Norwegian retailer and manufacturer that produces textiles and gear for sports and work on the ocean and in the mountains.
Understanding the challenge
Trying to increase conversion rates and average order value for a well-established retailer that seemingly checks all the e-commerce boxes can be daunting to begin with.
However, the greatest challenge our assignment posed was the fact that this was a hypothetical scenario. How do you devise a startegy that you can confidently claim would achieve those goals when you lack access to any internal data?
Crafting a solution
Considering we would have to define our strategy and support it without any contribution from Helly Hansen, we decided to rely heavily on research, both quantitative and qualitative.
We started with some broad investigations into the Norwegian cultural context and then narrowed our focus to Helly Hansen and its competitors, eventually down to individual levels with surveys and interviews.
After devising our solutions, we would take our proposed changes and A/B test them against the status quo, to verify our assumptions.
The strategy
Despite lacking a direct collaboration with the company, through literature review, extensive research, and testing, our team was successful in devising a strategy that would undoubtedly positively impact Helly Hansen.

Cultural environment
First we sought to understand cultural differences by applying the Geert Hofstede Cultural Dimensions Theory, a framework used to discern the ways that business is done across different cultures.
Competitor analysis
We uncovered multiple areas of improvement by executing a competitor analysis which looked at Helly Hansen and its unique selling points and digital performance in comparison to six competitors.
Survey and interviews
We gathered more data about user expectations through surveys and interviews with people from our target groups — former and potential Helly Hansen customers.
Improving UX
We used all the insights gathered so far to redesign the Helly Hansen home and product pages, streamlining the buyer journey, and improving UX in general.

The results
We ran A/B testing of our new designs versus to the old ones. This was successful in confirming our predictions — the company needed to rethink its website from both an aesthetic and functional point of view. To maximize sales, they need to make sure they offer an impeccable online experience which aligns with their brand image.
